FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about trading, demat accounts, and investing with Brilliant Securities.

How do I open a trading and demat account with Brilliant Securities?

You can open your account online at kyc.brilliantneo.com — the process takes under 15 minutes. The one-time demat account opening fee is Rs. 150. You can also walk into any of our three branches — Battisputali in Kathmandu, Itahari, or Mirchaiya — and our team will guide you through the process in person.

Are the brokerage rates negotiable or different from other brokers?

No — all brokerage rates are fixed and mandated by SEBON and NEPSE. No licensed broker in Nepal can legally charge less or more than the regulated rate structure. The same slabs apply at every brokerage in the country. What differs between brokers is the quality of service, reporting accuracy, and support — not the rates.

What is the difference between a trading account and a demat account?

A trading account allows you to buy and sell shares on NEPSE — accessible via tms08.nepsetms.com.np. A demat account is where your purchased shares are held electronically, viewable through meroshare.cdsc.com.np. Both are required to participate in Nepal's stock market, and at Brilliant Securities both are set up through a single onboarding process as a registered CDS & Clearing Ltd. Depository Participant.

How do I track my portfolio and get account statements?

You can view your demat holdings anytime at meroshare.cdsc.com.np and access your full trading history and back office reports at backoffice.brilliantneo.com. Trade confirmations, ledger statements, and portfolio reports are also available on request. Account statement printing is provided free of charge.
